I am a music artist, a social artist, and a creative entrepreneur. I have a more “official” biography here, however, in this space, a personal approach feels more appropriate.
My journey in positive psychology began around the age of 14 or 15 when I heard a message from a local youth leader encouraging me to wake up at the top of each morning and decide what my day was going to be. This is what got me to start consciously setting my intentions on a daily basis, and would eventually grow into years of research (which is what led to The Book of Positive Affirmations!).
At the age of 19 years old, I stepped out on a leap of faith in both my identity and my purpose and I moved from my small hometown of less than 30,000 people to New York City. So many beautiful things have happened since moving here as a mere teenager! It was during these years that I gained experience in grassroots marketing, local campaigning in politics and creative production for shows during New York Fashion Week. I also found myself on the path to launch my first business, hire and train team members (more than 100 contracts to date!), and I produced my very first album (Saints in the Garden) as an independent music artist.
One of the things I am most grateful for in my life is the relationship I shared with my late uncle, Uncle Willie, who most heavily influenced my perspective on the different ways in which we can connect with our personal purpose and define our own identity. Although I was raised in a rather strict, conservative and traditionally religious environment, it was one conversation with Uncle Willie that convinced me to believe in my individual ability to travel great distances and accomplish great things. As often as possible, I’ve leveraged that gratitude to study the field of positive psychology and build new opportunities for myself and others, even in the face of uncertainty.
As an ever-studious Black and nonbinary creative entrepreneur with a strong sense of purpose, identity and core values, I am ready to connect with and support people of all backgrounds and belief systems. As a coach, I primarily look to work with other individuals who identify as creative entrepreneurs, and I am happy to serve and resource all others as well.

About Purpose Coaching
Purpose coaching is a niche form of one on one support that exists to help you better connect with and understand your truest self. Whether you are feeling completely lost in life, or you have a pretty good sense of who you are and why you are here, there is value in purpose coaching for all people who desire to live a more meaningful and productive life.
As a creative entrepreneur, people often ask me how I grew the confidence to start my own business, or how I knew I was capable of writing a book, directing a fashion show or building an online community. The answer for each of these is simple. My most valuable lessons in life have been learned by paying attention (watching/listening/asking questions) and taking thoughtful action. As a purpose coach, my responsibility to you is to help you better understand and express your purpose, identity, mission, vision and values so that you can create and accomplish your goals with an improved sense of clarity and a healthier sense of confidence.
Purpose coaching is not a “one size fits all” solution, nor is it a guarantee of desired results as much as it is an invitation to explore potential solutions to your questions and desires.

About SBPA™
What is SBPA™?
The acronym, S.B.P.A. stands for the Sustainable Build of Positive Affluence. It’s a concept I created shortly after writing The Book of Positive Affirmations back in 2019. This concept has a bit of a scientific backstory in that it was inspired after I noticed I was using “BPA” to reference my book, even though BPA (bisphenol a) is a harmful chemical compound that is known for its widespread use and degenerative qualities.
In writing The Book of Positive Affirmations, I created a tool that is intended for practical everyday use, to support a healthier mindset and overall lifestyle. The idea is that the use of this book sustains a holistic effort of building personal confidence and clarity in one’s life, and that it could be used by virtually anyone to unleash the true power of positivity.
The Sustainable Build of Positive Affluence can be summed up in three parts: Love Yourself • Know Yourself • Grow Yourself.
While everyone’s personal life journey is as unique as they themselves are, I am convinced that the only way to improve as an individual is to first love yourself, which will positively impact your willingness to know yourself, which will equip you to effectively and sustainably grow.
SBPA™ is a sustainable platform for mental health books, products and resources. It’s an invitation to embrace the lessons offered by way of life’s triumphs and challenges, and leverage them to build new opportunities and realities reflective of who we are and who we’ve decided to be. Using this platform by visiting its online channels, or investing in its goods and services should always encourage you to discover or consider something different about yourself and the power that lives within you.
